Would any one know what i need to start to manafacturing Cell Phone Vinyl Skins?





I would like to start Home Based Business to manafacture and sell Vinyl skins. Any ideas what kind of investment i need ?

Home based manufacturing of cell phone skins is probably impossible - too many models of cell phones out there and lots of competition from China.





I'd suggest selling the skins that exist. Buy from distributors and sell them. Good luck
Reply:Well back in '02 I created a few vinyl skins for myself and a few friends when I was working at a sign shop. I wouldn't so much turn it into a business simply because very few people are willing to give up there phones for a few minutes that it takes to create custom skins.





But if your desire is to make it come true here is what you need...





Screwdriver kit:


Must be small enough to unscrew the faces without stripping the screw itself. Look into reading glasses screwdriver set.





Vinyl:


There are many sign supply shops that will sell vinyl by the minimum of a running foot (15"x12"). You can look into buying a roll but in your case I would opt for 5' of specialty vinyl only because Iridescent for example will run you well over 200 dollars a roll. If you want to make the vinyl work with curves and you cant stretch it that much make sure you use it in a warm environment.





X-acto Precision knife:


Used to trim the excess once you pulled the vinyl pass the edge of the cover.





Patience:


It will take you any where from 30 minutes to an hour to get a good lay down on vinyl.
