Why do i still get vibrations in my front shirt pocket even though my cell phone isnt there?

Im a carpenter, it gets noisey sometimes and i keep my cell phone in my front pocket on vibrate so i know when someones calling me. Sometimes when my phone is not in my pocket i get a phantom vibration on my skin. Why?

Why do i still get vibrations in my front shirt pocket even though my cell phone isnt there?
its called the phantom phone. i have it too! its pretty much us being addicted to our cell phones. haha
Reply:Cuz maybe someone send you a voice call or mail.
Reply:This sounds more like a medical question or anything...could be your heart? You see a doctor yet?
Reply:i dont know but i always get that in my handbag!! so i want to know too- just thought i was always imagining it......we probably are!!
Reply:MSN actually had an article about this a couple of weeks ago. They're called phantom vibrations, and I guess a lot of people who carry cellphones all the time get them. Unfortunately, the article didn't explain why. :(
Reply:I read about this kind of thing before. The other version is when you aren't getting any phone call and you still feel the vibration (I get that sometimes) or you hear the phone ringing. It's just because you're used to feeling it, or maybe that you want to be phoned or are expecting a phone call. It's not physiological damage, it's all in the mind.
Reply:it's just our imagination i get it. we think about if our phone goes of and then we feel it vibrate! strange!
Reply:ur crazy.....
Reply:reflex, ur so used to the vibration everyday. just like when a dog sees meat, he is mouthwatering, even tho the meat can be from another dog's meat or rotten meat.
Reply:I get it too. Sometimes, your brain gets used to having something there, or feeling something, that even when it's gone, you still feel it. It's a reflexive action created by the brain, and you can't control it. Don't worry, it'll pass soon!
Reply:its the expectance of it because youre so used to it. Like when you just get off a boat and you can still feel the rocking motion.
Reply:When a tooth is removed, you will continue to have phantom pains just like you did when it was hurting. Same way with the cell phone. Your body got used to feeling vibrations in that area. It will wear off in a couple of weeks,
Reply:It may be due to phantom vibration as you have said OR reflex action just because you are used to putting your cell phone in the front pocket. My advice is that you should try and change tho position. Okay. Happy new year in advance... Its from SANJEY BOBO
